The Teachers' Conference at the Kirov Academy of Ballet is an exclusive 2-week course that uses the Vaganova method as its foundation. Upon successful completion of the Curriculum, teachers may receive an official Kirov Academy of Ballet Teaching Certificate for the appropriate program level. The Program is conducted in English.

Lectures on the age-appropriate curriculum and supporting teaching materials:
Classes (practice) on the age-appropriate curriculum. During classes the necessary concept about features of musical accompaniment for each level of training is given.
Attendance of the Pre-Professional Division of the Kirov Academy of Ballet character and historical dance classes. Classes conducted by the Academy’s Artistic Faculty.
Video screenings from the Academy’s archives of exams and teaching methods.
A final exam and official Certificate.
To teach students in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of study. The purpose of this program is to establish a professional foundation, instill basic skills of coordination, development of endurance, musicality and artistry in accordance with the age of the students.
Required experience: Teaching experience is not necessary. The Program’s curriculum implies initial knowledge with the Vaganova Method. Candidates must be 18 years or older and must have an advanced level of ballet training (good performing experience)
To teach students in 4th and 5th years of study. Introduction of more challenging movements and combinations for the development of ballet technique of future ballet dancers. Increase of physical activity with the purpose of further development of endurance of students. Further development of musicality and expression in accordance with the age of students. Required experience: candidates must have successfully completed the program’s curriculum of the Level I / Junior Level.

To teach students in 6th, 7th, and 8th year of study. The focus is on improvement, consolidation and artistic processing of the training program and mastering the stylistic features of combinations depending on the nature of the music. Teachers learn how to coach students in the development of performing virtuosity, artistry and individuality of students.
Required experience: Candidates must have successfully completed the program’s curriculum of the Level I / Junior Level and Level II/ Intermediate Level.
