International Guest Artists Join Our Winter Gala

The ballet “The Nutcracker” holds a special place in my heart. It was the first ballet that I danced when I arrived in America as a young professional ballet student many years ago. Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, along with the warm and loving holiday season provided me with some much-needed peace and comfort. The first act of Kirov’s Nutcracker that I am currently creating for our evening-length ballet very much reflects the sentiments that I felt so strongly during those challenging months when I first came to America. My version of the story is about a young person’s rite of passage; It’s about magic, compassion, and beliefs, but most importantly, it’s about love… My goal is to create a production to inspire others in the same way I was inspired many years ago. These performances provide a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow and experience the wonder of the theatrical atmosphere. They are working very hard to present you a night of beauty and magic. Please bring your whole family to see our production. Let the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Little Ballerina Dolls inspire your spirit and warm your heart. See you at the theatre! ”

Guest Artists 

We are very excited to announce that a pair of today ballet world’s superstar will perform at our winter gala!  Yuan Yuan Tan, an international superstar, trained in my school in China, prima ballerina in San Fransisco Ballet, and Matthew Golding, trained in Kirov Academy (Mr. Djouloukhaze’s student) former principle dancer with Royal Ballet and Dutch National.  They will dance “White Swan Pas de Deux” from Swan Lake to start the Winter Gala. They also going to each dance a solo, which they created for themselves at the start of the second act.
